Lightbox Film Festival is an international online awards showcase dedicated to celebrating bold storytelling, emerging voices, and innovative filmmaking from around the world.

Founded by Andy Wilson, Lightbox was created to provide filmmakers with a platform that is accessible, global, and genuinely supportive — offering meaningful recognition and industry visibility without traditional barriers to entry.

As a fully digital event, Lightbox presents a curated programme of outstanding independent films followed by an official awards announcement. Each season is overseen by a professional judging panel with experience across film production, writing, acting, and creative media.

Andy and Lousie work together to oversee festival operations, submissions management, filmmaker relations, and the overall running of the event. All creative decisions and award determinations remain independent and are handled solely by the judging panel.

Lightbox is evaluated by a diverse panel of independent judges, each bringing a professional background in storytelling, filmmaking, or creative arts. All judging is conducted privately and without influence from festival organisers or technical staff.
